Enjoy wonderful scenery and an amazing kayaking adventure on your 2 1/2 hour paddle around Gairloch. With all kayaking equipment provided, along with a knowledgeable local kayak guide, your will journey through the clear waters of the bay in search of seals, otters and the wildlife of the shoreline. After launching you will find out how easy it is to paddle safely around the sheltered waters of Gairloch bay and your guide will inform you about the wildlife and culture of the Highlands throughout your trip.
Depending on the wind and tide we have different launch points around the bay. Sea kayaking is a quiet way to enjoy the coastline and get the opportunity to observe wildlife. If you have done a little kayaking before then talk to us about a more adventurous journey. All guides carry full set of safety equipment, radios and first aid kits. We keep group sizes small to make sure everyone has the best of times.

You will be met at the start of your experience by your guide who will have a selection of boats for people of a variety of sizes. Once the activity disclaimer is signed  the trip will begin. All the equipment you need is provided including sea kayaks, buoyancy aids, spray decks, paddles etc. All you need to bring is a waterproof, some snacks and a sense of adventure.
The first 30 minutes of your experience will involve preparation by being fitted up for the equipment and making sure your will be comfortable on the water. A full safety briefing is given before we launch.
After launching will cover some basic skills training and you will find out how easy it is to paddle safely around the sheltered waters of Gairloch Bay. Your local guide will then take you o a journey around the bay in search of local wildlife. As they paddle the area regularly they know the best places to spot wildlife.
Seals regularly follow our kayaks as we paddle around the bay and we may visit the bays of Badacro or Shieldag or the sands of Gairloch beach depending on the weather. There is an ancient heronry to paddle past and if the seabirds are nesting you may have the opportunity to see terns and other seabirds. Along the shoreline, we will look at the harvest of the sea and see what can be collected as edible goodies.
At the end of your experience you will paddle back to the start of the event and take off your safety equipment before heading back to your vehicles.
We want you to enjoy a relaxed paddle and will choose a venue for depending on your experience, local tides and the anticipated weather conditions. So depending on the wind and tide we have different launch points around the bay. Call the day before to confirm launch point.  

If you are on the NC500 route and fancy a break then a day or half days kayaking will give you another side of Scotland’s beautiful coastline. Whether you are taking to the sea for the first time or you want to be shown around the area by an experienced local guide, book a trip with us.   • A major feature of the Loch is the large number of islands which it holds,the larger contain pristine remnants of ancient Caledonian Pinewood. Some of these Scots Pine trees are over 350 years old, and stand on ground which has changed little in the last 8000 years.

We provide all the equipment you need including canoes, buoyancy aids and paddles. All you need to bring is some lunch and a sense of adventure.

You will be met at the start of your experience by your guide who will have a selection of boats for people of a variety of sizes. Once the activity disclaimer is signed  the trip will begin. All the equipment you need is provided including canoes, buoyancy aids, spray decks, paddles etc. All you need to bring is a waterproof, some snacks and your lunch.
The first 30 minutes of your experience will involve preparation by being fitted up for the equipment and making sure your will be comfortable on the water. A full safety briefing is given before we launch.
After launching will will cover some basic skills training and you will find out how easy it is to paddle safely around.  As the guides paddle the area regularly they know the best places to spot wildlife. The journey will head for Isle Maree, which has the remains of a chapel, graveyard, holy well, and holy tree on it, believed to be an 8th century hermitage. Isle Maree also attracted the sick and the insane, who drank from its holy well and plunged into the loch three times in the hope of a cure. The same island also contains ancient stands of oak and holly which have been linked with ancient Scottish druids. On the way we will pass along the shores of many islands and try and spot the local wildlife which may include black throated divers, sea eagles and otters.
All guides carry full set of safety equipment, radios and first aid kits. We keep group sizes small to make sure everyone has the best of times.
Note there are no public toilets available on this trip.
At the end of your experience you will paddle back to the start of the event and take off your safety equipment before heading back to your vehicles. Our guides know the waters well enough to avoid challenging paddling, we are looking for you to relax and enjoy the scenery and beauty of the area. An ideal break for a day from the NC500.

Come and experience the best of Scotland's mountain walking and Munro bagging. Whether this is your first Munro, a spectacular ridge walk, discovering remote hills, our guides will take you safely there and back. The scenery you will see on these highland mountain walks is some of the best in the world and combined with close views of red deer, golden eagles and other wildlife it will be a day to remember.
These ‘hill days’ are not for the faint hearted, experience the physicality of a mountain walk and gain the value of challenging you body and mind. The views and atmosphere of reaching the summit will make up for the efforts you put in.
Your qualified mountain guide will be local to the area and will lead you safely through the mountains. All guides carry map and compass, GPS and mountain first aid kits and have a background in leading mountain walks throughout the world.

The day begins by meeting your guide at the trail head for your route. They will describe the route in detail giving you any route options for the day ahead. A safety briefing will be concluded by checking everyone has food and drink (please bring your own drinks, lunch and snacks) for day, appropriate weather proof clothing, midge repellent (June-September) and appropriate boots. We can advise about food and equipment prior to the event. Please inform your guide of any medical conditions which they may need to know about.
All of our walks are challenging so a prompt start to the day is essential.
Your guide will be an experienced mountain leader who knows the terrain and the technical difficulty ahead so can lead you at an appropriate pace for the day. There will be time for the guide to describe the landscape formation, geology, culture and wildlife as you walk along. Your guide is also your safety expert and will support you on more challenging or exposed sections of the route.
The weather has an impact on mountain days. Please be aware this may affect the route taken by your guide.

If you are booking the Fisherfield experience be aware this is a 2 day event and you will need to carry your own camping equipment and food into a base camp from where the group will set out to climb the six peaks of the area. We start our exploration of the Fisherfields from the village of Kinlochewe.

You may need a guide for a route on a specific peak or you may want to visit several mountain ranges over a few days. Whatever your ambitions are – contact us and we will plan a guided mountain walking day to suit you.
