One day to see it all: from Glastonbury Abbey to Glastonbury Tor. Hear the legends of Druids, Joseph of Arimathea and Mary Magdalene. Visit the Chalice well, the White Spring and explore the magic of the little town with a big story. Please note: this tour starts and ends in Glastonbury.

Begin your day with a guided walk across Avalon, be transported back 2000 years through the mists, to a time of magic, myths and legends, a time when the family of Christ arrived to these shores of Avalon. Stand next to the Holy Thorn Tree which grew from the staff given to Joseph of Arimathea, by Jesus himself. He planted the staff as a symbol of the birth of a new way, the early Christian way, and worked with the Pagans and Druids who had used the ancient Isle of Avalon as a site for spiritual initiation for thousands of years.

Then be guided, via the hidden chapel of St Margret, to the site of the Wattle Church in the centre of the Glastonbury Abbey. The Wattle Church is England’s first ever building for Christian worship, built by Mary Magdalene and Joseph of Arimathea in 62AD. A few steps away we find the last resting place of King Arthur and Gwynevere and find out why it is there and how they are linked to the family of Christ. The windows within St Johns church perfectly paint a picture of the hidden stories of old.

After lunch we go on our quest for the Holy Grail, said to be buried under the Chalice Well. Find out why these waters in this tranquil garden are said to be healing by drinking them yourself. Balance the red waters, the female energies of the Chalice Well, with the waters of the White Spring, the male energies, which is very close by, in a beautiful candle-lit water temple.

We leave the best for last, a climb to the top of the Glastonbury Tor. Witness the amazing energies of the Tor, find out why these hills are called sleeping dragons and look out over the sacred landscape all the way to Wales.

We gather outside the Glastonbury Abbey to embark on our transport to South Cadbury Castle, (roughly 40 mins depending on traffic) the supposed location of Arthur's Camelot. This imposing iron age hill fort looms out of the Somerset landscape. We take a steady walk to the plateau, whilst our guide spins yarns of chivalry and heroes, real and imagined.

As with all our tours we take a moment to ask permission to enter, and to ask for the spirits of this place to show us the things we need to see. Once upon the top we divulge ourselves with the story of Gawain and the Green Knight then allow our guests to wander and soak up the atmosphere of the Isle of the living, as they gaze out across the landscape back to Avalon, the once Isle of the Dead.

  • Tours being at 8:30am or 1:30pm
  • 4 People Minimum
  • 4 hour Walking Tour
  • Appropriate walking gear is required: trail shoes as the paths are often muddy
  • Jackets and coats to accommodate changing weather and winds
We will meet at the St Dunstan's Car Park near the famous Glastonbury Abbey. You will find us by a sign being shown noting "Walking with Wizards". From here we will begin our journey in a comfortable fashion through the Somerset levels towards South Cadbury Castle, the purposed King Arthur's Camelot. Tales will be shared along the way and you being to immerse yourself in the energy and stories of our ancestors, and tap into the energy of these magical lands.

Upon reaching our destination, a hill approximate 500 feet above sea level, we hope to be embraced by a clear day allowing a panoramic view of the Somerset levels and the distant Glastonbury Tor and perhaps Brent Knol just beyond.

We begin in Cornwall, walking in the steps of Arthur, taking a pilgrimage to the place of his mythical birth. Prepare yourself for the unseen as the doorways open to the knowledge, the magick and healing as you experience all there is for you to experience. After all, this is a personal journey...

While in Cornwall, we will rest our heads at Camelot Castle, located just a stone's throw from the magic of Merlin's Cave and Titangel Castle. We will ask the land's permission to explore them. The dramatic views of northern coastline will mesmerize you and take you back in time as you envision masted vessels out at sea and local trade in port. As we walk expect to encounter the dragon energy of Kernow, the whispering silence of the isolated ancient circles of Bodmin Moor, and visit the Hurlers Stone Circles. We will explore Boscastle and the Museum of Witchcraft where you will explore the history of the ancient craft and the magic of the surrounding town.

We will be in Cornwall close to the time Samhain (Halloween). Here is where Arthur is linked with the Winter King, who rises on this night and leads the wild hunt across shadowy land. Arthur, Odin and Gwynn Ap Nude are all linked with the festival of the Wild Hunt. A time of year where abundance and health gives way to magick and learning. This is a great time to get lost in the mysteries of the land.

There are visits to the legendary place of Arthur's burial and the sacred site of Camelot. Many argue King Arthur was a Scot, Welsh or even an Englishman. Regardless, I believe his story touched all from the Northern Wall, to the mountains of Wales and on into the Somerset Levels.

While we explore the mystical energy of this place, we will rest and rejuvenate at the Healing Waters Retreat and Sanctuary, just a short distance for the Tor. Our time here will include a guided tour of Avalon; Glastonbury Tor, Orchards of Avalon, Jesus Field, and the Holy Thorn Tree. We will experience the energy of Camelot, exploring South Cadbury Castle and Avebury Stone Circle on the way to Stonehenge where we will have a sacred ceremony. We will also walk the grounds of the Glastonbury Abbey and have ceremony in the White Spring.

Ceremony is a very big part of all my retreats. In ceremony, we connect with spirit, the land and our ancestors. As we walk, and perform ceremonies in the lands of Avalon we, will feel the magic come alive and in doing so heal our own wounds.
